How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of the Overall Protection Scheme of OHL/TR (up to 400kV), AVR relays, and integrated trip logic for all line and cable, transformer feeders.
  • Perform functional checks of local control cubicles, interlocks, and interface circuits for 400kV and below level feeders.
  • Execute bus bar protection stability and sensitivity checks, breaker failure protection schemes, and transformer & REF stability tests under various conditions.
  • Oversee the testing of all components including transformers, CTs, and VT switchgear equipment, as well as LVAC and DCDB commissioning.
  • Manage the testing and commissioning of Siprotec-4 and Siprotec-5 relays (including models 7SA, 7SD, 7UT, 7SJ, 7VK, 7SV, 7SL8, 7SA8, 7UT8, 7SJ8, 7SD8, 7VK8, 7SS8).
  • Coordinate with SCMS and LDC integration for seamless system operations and manage remote end works for feeder protection.
  • Oversee all GIS installation and commissioning activities, leading the GIS installation team, including engineers and blue-collar workers.
  • Prepare detailed project schedules and methods of statement to guide project execution.
  • Strive for improved quality and reduced non-conformance costs by driving RCA and enhancing customer perception through proactive communication and stakeholder management
  • Promote a strong Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) mindset and a Zero Harm culture on site to ensure the well-being of all employees and stakeholders.

What you Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical power and machines from a reputable university, demonstrating a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles.
  • Siemens Energy Protection knowledge and factory certification, showcasing specialized expertise in Siemens Energy systems and solutions.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in HV Substations services, highlighting a deep understanding of high-voltage systems and their maintenance.
  • Proven track record of working in multinational and multicultural environments, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully engage with diverse audiences.
  • High adaptability and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity for cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Arabic languages, ensuring effective communication in diverse settings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in time-critical situations, ensuring reliable and timely solutions.
