A Snapshot of Your Days

Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for assuring high quality of application by planning and execution tests driven by automation and close coordination with development and business team, understanding functional and non-functional aspects, creating, maintaining, and advocating for appropriate testing framework and platforms, and keeping up with technological changes.

How You’ll Make an Impact / Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage all aspects of the testing effort, including plans, inter dependencies, schedule, budget, tools, and required personnel.
  • Create & maintain test cases, metrics & strategy, test plan, QA project plan, traceability matrix, entry & exit criteria, and test data documents.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution.
  • Drive adoption of automation and increase penetration of automation including Automation tool proposals, hands-on on POC creation, drive the Automation initiatives.
  • Drive the regression testing approach, automate regression bed, risk-based testing as per the sprint cycles.
  • Define and drive the QA/Automation metrices, ensure SLA adherence per contracts.
  • Liaison between business and QA teams to deliver value streams.
  • Admin set-up for the account to start Offshore QA Delivery Centre, ramping up the team.
  • Facilitate cross-training and utilization of resources & achieve multi-skilling in teams to drive productivity improvements.
  • Innovation & Automation Initiatives; provide continuous improvement strategies for increasing productivity and reducing cost to serve.
  • Investigate product quality to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.
  • Staffing process, including resource need assessment, hiring, work allocation, progress reporting, career mentorship and promotion recommendations
  • Allocate offshore resources to different projects and assigned tasks & deadlines based on the project work plan.
  • Review the documentation and tasks performed by the peer team members and provided feedback as and when needed.

What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities

  • 8+ years of IT professional experience post-graduation in Engineering or other equivalent qualification (MCA).
  • Minimum of 4+ years of working experience on Robot/Selenium framework.
  • Must have exposure to functional testing, API testing and integration testing.
  • Candidate should be capable of working independently or within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders from round the globe.

Working knowledge on the following topics is a must:

  • Expertise in Robot/Selenium Automation Framework for both web and windows-based applications and APIs.
  • Expertise in creating automation testing framework from scratch using python.
  • Fundamental knowledge of OOPs Concept and design patterns.
  • Good knowledge of various editors.
  • Good knowledge of Robot framework core libraries/Selenium libraries
  • Knowledge of various testing tools like Postman and JMeter.
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools (GIT).
  • Knowledge of any issue/defect tracking tool e.g. JIRA etc.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Oracle and NoSQL databases and hands on experience on writing PL/SQL queries.
  • emphasizing iterative and incremental testing throughout development, close collaboration between testers, developers, and stakeholders, enabling continuous feedback and frequent testing cycles.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Good to have skills.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
  • Ability to work in a cross-platform environment.
