A Snapshot of Your Day

Omnivise You will work in our “Power Diagnostic Service” (PDS) project team which is part of the Siemens Energy Omnivise product family:

PDS has multiple modules like Basic, Mobile, Performance, Live and Analytics. It is designed to assist the site by identifying detectable symptoms that could potentially lead to an unplanned event in less than 24 hours (“rapid issues”). PDS gets real time and batch data and uses new state of the art technology to detect issues and events. It has a mobile application which helps plant personnel assess the plant’s key operational indicators, from any location by providing asset data and notifications in real time. It also provides analytics to improve performance and scheduled maintenance.


How You’ll Make an Impact

As a frontend developer for our PDS app family, you will:

  • Understand and analyze requirements of the project.  
  • Working closely with business product owners to understand and prototype use cases.
  • Exploring technical solutions for feature requests raised by use cases / partner teams 


What You Bring 

  • Master’s / bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar with a minimum 8 years of experience in the field of Software Development and Architecture.
  • Ability to develop prototypes/concepts for the requirements.  
  • Develop according to Siemens Corporate UI guideline standards including colors, icons, typographic specifications, graphics, as well as other relevant elements  
  • Documentation and maintenance of software and tools used in the project 
  • Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies  
  • Perform code reviews and participate in defining & ensuring adherence to coding standards  
  • Deliver rapidly in a reliable manner with the highest quality standards
  • Curious, passionate about problem solving, building and self-improving
  • Experience in Agile software development 
  • Fluent English Skills
  • Experience working in and with international teams and stakeholders with different cultures 

Technical Skills

  • Design and development of software (applications) using Ember.js and other auxiliary technologies, minimum 3 years
  • Has developed and maintained Ember based addons  
  • Development and maintenance of several Ember addons shared between multiple Siemens Energy applications  
  • Provide development estimate on stories and tasks in order to implement projects in Agile environments  
  • Continuously integrate new features and deploy to Production Environment responsible for controlling the adaptability of all the APIs and their integration  
  • Uses a combination of HTML, CSS and JavaScript to build the client-side or user-facing portions of applications
  • Working experience with tools like Gitlab/Jenkins/Jira/Confluence  
  • Experience working with AWS based micro services  
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS (Less, Sass)
