Mechanical Maintenance Engineer


A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be responsible for the completion and management of maintenance activities of the company’s products through performing and supporting on site activities in partnership with the business, customer, and contractors in line with the site programme.

How you will make an impact

As part of the maintenance team, you will provide individual and/or group assistance to ensure continuous availability and reliability of machine tools and other plant/equipment across the site. 
Liaise directly with facility, or office teams, across all shifts. 
Liaise directly with all required suppliers regarding the procurement of parts and equipment. 
Maintain a diverse range of machine tools and equipment.
Ensure an up-to-date in-depth knowledge of machine tool and equipment across the facility, be able to work independently when required across a 3-shift system.
Adapting the use of the Agility application software regarding the day to day running of the Maintenance team. 
Be willing to participate in out of hours standby system.
Comply with HSE regulations.
Receptive to changing innovations and embrace improvement to assets or replacements.
Make recommendations to the Maintenance Team Leader, or Operation Manager, on condition and long-term viability of assets.
Ensure safety procedures and safe working practices for general and specific tasks are adhered to (including use of method statements and risk assessments).
Assist with the planning of preventative maintenance, in line with business needs.
Work to manufacturer’s standards and drawings.
Support, where needed, with ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum. 
Responsible for annual ladder and racking inspections throughout the facility.
Participate in any required training to fulfil the complete job role. 

What You Bring  

Minimum ONC/HNC in an Engineering discipline, or a relevant engineering apprenticeship.
Time served in mechanical engineering, preferably multi-skilled.
Experience using and maintaining CNC Machine Tools
Good communication skills and focussed on safety
