A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Field Service Blade Engineer, your day will be filled with dynamic challenges and exciting accomplishments. You will be responsible for crafting and implementing inspection methods to support in-service blade repairs, ensuring that our wind turbines operate at peak efficiency. You will collaborate with a team of experts, bringing to bear your knowledge and skills to deliver outstanding results!

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Setting up and implementing an inspection procedure and system for the measurement and control of composite blade repairs on in-service wind turbines.
  • Introduce inspection methods related to composite repairs, incorporating standard methodology for tooling and material usage.
  • Establishing inspection methods and procedures for composite blade repairs to ensure flawless execution.
  • Understand and apply inspection measurement tools and NDT techniques for composite blade repairs.
  • Derive inspection plans, routines, and reports to complement established repair methods, ensuring world-class standards.
  • Establish an inspection report/results database, compile feedback mechanism, and monitor systems for statistical analysis and metrics data.
  • Provide mentorship and support during the creation of repair methods to the inspection team in the field, ensuring successful implementation.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in QC inspection-based role within the composite blade manufacturing or servicing environment in the wind turbine industry.
  • An engineering degree/diploma in Engineering Science-based subject or equivalent time-served experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of composite blade repair and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and follow repair processes.
  • Experience in establishing inspection documentation; plans, procedures and reports in English.
  • A methodical approach to establishing and implementing inspection methods and procedures.
  • Ability to work as a team member within an international environment, showcasing outstanding teamwork skills.
