A Snapshot of Your Day 

The Strategic Procurement organization is responsible for developing procurement strategies that will ensure the optimization of Siemens’ competitive position. The responsibility of the Turbine Blade and Vanes group covers complex supply chains including investment castings, complex machining and coating processes. Due to the technical complexity of the products and their value, the department is a main cornerstone in the service centric strategy of the newly founded Siemens Energy company having high management attention and visibility. Since 2020 inflation has increased globally and is expected to remain on a high level in the next years, mainly effecting competitive positioning in sales and profitability. To counter the inflationary impact, Siemens Energy wants to implement a program identifying and implementing cost-out opportunities across the supply-chain. For this task, we are looking for young professional who have gained first experience in a consulting job and having the ability to manage global teams and report out to upper management.     

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Setup of global cost-out program across different commodities and a global supply base 
  • Organization and implementation of on-sites workshops with suppliers and internal manufacturing sites
  • Coordination of cross-functional Siemens Energy teams from operative, quality to strategic procurement
  • Implementing standard reporting and regular report-outs to upper management on status and target achievements and close tracking of project milestones 
  • Working with an international Siemens Energy team and international suppliers across 3 continents and over 20 different countries
What You Bring
  • Bachelors / Masters degree in Business, Engineering or Law
  • Ideally several years of professional experience within a consulting group 
  • Ability to structure and analyze complex assignments and to derive decision proposals based on underlying facts
  • Steering and coordination of global multi-national teams 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High intrinsic motivation to challenge status-quo 
  • Willingness for intercontinental travel, travel percentage ~15%
About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
