How You’ll Make an Impact

• Oversee welding operations for the assembly, packaging, and testing of gas turbines and compressors used in power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, and related industries.
• Work within a cross-functional matrix organization to consistently achieve high-quality standards, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Guide and support Siemens Energy welding teams, primarily composed of third-party contract welders.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, excellence and inclusiveness.
• Perform welding (including preparation) of process pipes to ANSI B31.1 and 31.3 standards, adhering to ASME IX welding standards. Materials typically include carbon steel or stainless steel, with sizes ranging from 0.5 to 8 inches and wall thicknesses from schedule 20 to 160.
• Weld structural steel supports for pipes and equipment, following AWS D1.1 or similar standards in carbon steel materials.
• Interpret and apply WPS and supporting documents such as PQR & WPQ.
• Utilize GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding processes.
• Understand and interpret Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) results.
• Ensure welding quality records are maintained on projects under fabrication process.
• Prepare welding equipment, consumables, tools and PPE for daily production needs.
• Support maintenance of welding equipment.
• Help establish working practices for the welding operations.
• Contribute to discussions with production management and quality management in respect of welding topics to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Achieve high weld pass rates following NDT inspections (Visual, RT, PT, MT, UT, PMI, etc.)

What you Bring

• Qualification in welding and engineering from an accredited university or college.
• At least 5 years of welding experience, including leading welding teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable international and industry standards.
• Proficiency in MS office a strong advantage
• Fluency in English, with Arabic highly favored.
• Strong people leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and solve welding-related problems in complex technical situations.
