A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves establishing and upholding EHS standards while collaborating with internal collaborators to improve workplace safety. You conduct site visits to evaluate compliance, lead audits, and identify risks, ensuring detailed documentation and corrective actions are taken. Additionally, you drive EHS engagement initiatives and coordinate with the Procurement Team to assess supplier performance, all while promoting a culture of safety and sustainability perfection.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Establish, implement, and uphold EHS standards across Siemens Energy in the Middle East.
  • Develop and refine EHS processes and procedures while ensuring workplace safety through collaboration with various functions.
  • Engage closely with internal team members, including Project Management, Service Operations, Sales, and the Global EHS organization.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate the application of EHS standards and serve as the site EHS officer for projects in Libya as needed.
  • Lead internal and external audits, perform regular site inspections to identify risks, and ensure detailed investigation and documentation of incidents.
  • Drive EHS engagement initiatives, coordinate with the Procurement Team on supplier EHS performance, and deliver training programs while promoting safety and sustainability excellence.

What You Bring

  • Technical background with an Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, or Petroleum fields.
  • NEBOSH IGC Level 3 certification and Auditor Training for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Preferred Certified Safety Professional certification.
  • 8 to 15 years of experience, including 5 years in EHS roles passionate about projects or facilities in the power or oil & gas industries.
  • Experience in power plants, oil & gas, or service-related industries involving rotating equipment is a plus.
  • Proficient in collaboration tools and experienced in working with multicultural teams.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
