A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

We are seeking a distinguished Commercial Execution Team Leader focused predominantly on Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) system projects within our Substation Business Unit! This pivotal role is ideal for a visionary leader who specializes in the commercial management and financial oversight of construction projects. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team, guiding the strategic execution, ensuring financial integrity, and maintaining compliance with Siemens-FRG standards, all while driving the successful delivery of GIS project objectives.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Leading a small team (around 4 individuals)
  • Lead the commercial management of GIS system projects within our substation group, ensuring comprehensive control over project portfolios, including total commercial oversight, project financial integrity, and compliance with Siemens-FRG standards.
  • Conduct detailed project controlling, forecasting, and financial reporting for specific business unit segments, focusing on GIS projects.
  • Play an active role in the financial monthly closing processes, cost-to-complete assessments, and project steering meetings, ensuring financial accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Offer insights from execution and feedback from project execution to tendering to secure jobs of high quality and profitability.
  • Drive the implementation of business plans, emphasizing financial management, strategic business reviews, and the evaluation of risks and opportunities within the Substation Business Unit.
  • Ensure the clarity, optimization, and elaboration of all relevant financial and commercial issues, including contract analysis, business model determination, and the preparation of critical financial documents and concepts.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Proven expertise in the execution, management, and oversight of EPC projects.
  • Strong background in commercial project management, specifically within the GIS systems domain.
  • Proficient in POC accounting, IFRS, and adherence to Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines.
  • Advanced experience in SAP modules PS, SD, and FI
  • Experience as a leader is beneficial.
  • A minimum of 8 years of successful experience in a relevant field.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with a preference for degrees in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certifications such as CPA, MBA, or PMI are highly valued.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
