Join the Energy Revolution: Seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to Power the Future!
We are looking for a new college to join our automation team in Oslo. Ideally, you have around 5 years of experience and are eager to contribute your skills to our team of talented and knowledgeable professionals.
A proven track record in the oil and gas sector is a big plus.
Key Responsibilities in this role is:
- Review and assess documentation provided by subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Program process control and safety systems (PLC programming).
- Develop project documentation, e.g. functional descriptions and testing procedures.
- Oversee and report progress on delegated work packages.
- Conduct on-site testing and participate in offshore commissioning activities.
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc in Automation, Cybernetics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in PLC-based process control systems.
- Experience in EICT projects and the oil and gas industry are advantageous.
- Competence in industrial IT and Cyber Security is highly appreciated.

What can you expect?
We offer a diverse project portfolio that includes both large, new installations and smaller upgrades, both domestically and internationally. Commissioning is often part of our project deliveries, which means there will be some travel involved. You will work closely with other disciplines within the projects, as well as with our business partners. Together, we strive to deliver innovative solutions that meet our customers’ needs.
Your background
We are looking for someone with around 5 years of experience as an automation engineer, ideally from the supplier side. Experience in the oil and gas industry and familiarity with different project delivery phases are preferred. You should be comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams and using English as your working language. Familiarity with SW tools like SimaticPCS7 or COMOS as well as relevant industry standards like NORSOK will be considered a serious advantage.
