A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us as a Quality Manager in Projects (QMiP) where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Manager with expert advice on all quality aspects throughout the project lifecycle within the Compression Business, which comprises compressor plants and their components for all application in the international oil and gas industry. You will be the single point of contact for customers and stakeholders, ensuring that project quality meets expectations while adhering to specific contracts and regulations. Your daily responsibilities will include leading a globally located team, securing that quality requirements are integrated into the design and build, and overseeing tests and inspections to validate compliance. Additionally, you will contribute to bid preparations by reviewing customer quality specifications and providing comments and exceptions with budget estimations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Review customer contracts and specifications for quality aspects, including country-specific certifications and product safety.
  • Support the Project Manager in presenting deviations to customers and obtaining approvals for Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Ensure proper documentation to demonstrate the resolution of punch items and monitor the fulfillment of project requirements.
  • Coordinate Quality Plans for the project, including Inspection Test Plans (ITP), site quality plans, and participate in PACT (Project Acceleration Coaching and Teamwork) workshops to communicate quality risks and opportunities.
  • Attend inspections and tests as required, support customer audits, and release the final Quality Documentation package.
  • Capture and implement lessons learned to continuously improve quality processes.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a Quality-related field, or technical degree with equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in oil and gas, power plant, or EPC projects. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality requirements in the Oil and Gas industry and a commitment to Oil and Gas standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to problem-solving and strategic thinking.
  • A collaborative mindset, thriving in a global team environment, and an innovative, quality-oriented approach to change management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to travel internationally 10%.
