A Snapshot of Your Day
There are no specific requirements for entry onto the Quality Practitioner apprenticeship, it is a level 4 programme so ideally good GCSE results would be preferred, but we would also welcome delegates with A levels or even Degrees. (English and Maths are good but we can support the apprentice if they do not have them). It is a practical course and we’re looking for delegates who have a positive attitude and a desire to learn new skills.
There are no mandated qualifications in this apprenticeship, apprentices come out with a Level 4 Quality Practitioner certificate and the option to become a Practitioner with the Chartered Quality Institute.
How You'll Make an Impact
As a Quality Practitioner you will learn:
How to inspect/verify/validate a Product or Service against stated product requirements/acceptance criteria/service levels, such as checking the weight or dimensions of a product or timely delivery of a service. Learning inspection process and procedures, using both traditional methods and using modern equipment (FARO Arm)
Understand the role of a QMiP. To support project delivery against customer and internal requirements. Ensuring documentation, non-conformance management, customer feedback, lessons learned etc. are implemented as part of quality control.
How to contribute to the formulation of quality strategy, such as reducing product defects or improving service performance.
How to contribute to the formulation of output related customer satisfaction activities, such as Right First Time and On-Time delivery.
To become responsible for deployment of Quality Policies, Processes and Procedures as defined in the organisation’s Quality Management System and identification of opportunities for improving the Quality Management System.
To plan and conduct audits/assurance in line with the organisation’s audit plan/programme to meet customer/organisational/regulatory audit requirements.
Identify, investigate and contain non-conformances and advise on actions to prevent recurrence.
To advise on and/or use tools and techniques to improve quality performance, such as reducing waste, improving right first-time delivery, reducing non-compliance.
To gather and analyse routine quality performance data and produce relevant reports to support governance, assurance and improvement activities.
