A Snapshot of Your Day
We have an exciting internship opportunity, during which you'll get to experience and support several key areas of the business: Sales, Bid, Order, and Commercials. Below is an outline of what you can expect from your daily involvement in each sector:
Sales Team: Dive into the vibrant sales environment, where you'll run a select group of customers. Working closely with our sales team to optimise our go to market strategy and increase order intake. You'll ensure it delivers on value, efficiency, and footprint. Providing an excellent chance to develop your skills to manage sales targets and priorities, engage with customers to influence their short, medium, and long-term buying and business strategies. We Offering a combination of office-based work and face-to-face meetings with customers and internal business units.
Bid Management: Step into the Bid Team and explore the detailed bid management process. Work alongside cross functional teams to gather the required documents and data for bid submissions. Play a role in crafting proposals and take part in review meetings. Support the upkeep of the bid tracking system, ensuring all information is current and timelines are met.
Order Management: Join the Operations Team and support the critical task of order delivery. Supervise active orders to identify and address any potential issues or hold-ups. Understand the complexities of order fulfilment and dispatch. Assist with the accurate entry of new orders into the management system. Watch and learn from team interactions with the finance department to confirm the terms and conditions of order payments.
In each role, you will acquire practical experience and deepen your understanding of the various aspects of the sales cycle. While your responsibilities will be diverse, the overarching aim is to equip you with a comprehensive view of how each team's efforts drive the organisation's success!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Demonstrate ability to organise, prioritise and handle multiple tasks and concurrent projects/ orders.
- Assist the completion of on time project/ order deliveries for a wide range of transmission products including.
- Support the management of local subcontractors and overseas factories from order through delivery up to handover in accordance with the client schedule and quality requirements and always ensuring strict adherence to client & Siemens Energy EHS requirements.
- Collaborate with finance/ commercial team on a regular basis to ensure accurate reporting of financial/ commercial metrics.
- Identify and follow up on potential opportunities, variations and risks.
- Use and make available to others knowledge assets to optimise the proposed solution and project costs.
What You Bring
- Studying towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Management, Future Technologies, Environmental Studies, or similar.
- Ability to leverage excellent interpersonal skills in order to build and maintain positive business relationships.
- Ability to communicate in clear, concise and professional manner at all times.
- Effective problem solving and willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- A great teammate that is able to thrive and show maturity within a fast-paced environment.
