A Snapshot of your day
This role leads all aspects of Siemens Energy, EAD Offshore Americas development of strategies for profitable penetration into the Americas Offshore market including:
- Leads and drives initiatives which result in profitable market strategies.
- Owns the development and execution of market and account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals.
- Guides business development within assigned key accounts in the Offshore & Subsea markets, Energy companies (Operators) and Rigs/Drill Ships/Production assets, EPC’s, Integrators and intermediates.
- Develops relationship and sponsorship with key decision-makers at Key Accounts
- The role will report to the Head of Maritime & Offshore Americas
- Approx. 30% Travel
How You’ll Make an Impact

- Win profitable orders
- Ensure customer satisfaction with assigned shipbuilders and owner/operators
- Develop and implement detailed account plans at key market accounts.
- Develop relationship at key market accounts
- Lead capture teams and develops large and significant Must Win opportunities.
- Works closely with other Maritime & Offshore Americas Business Development Managers, the Project Execution and Bid Management Teams in the Americas. Leads sales teams on key, must-win opportunities to develop sales strategy, technical solution and proposals. Build and maintain trusted network and customer relationships that will assist to promote our future and present portfolio.
- Identify customers key challenges and ensure timely preparation, coordination, presentation of sophisticated EAD solution offerings.
- Follow-up offers with clients, lead/participate in full sales process and handover to execution teams.
- Ensure technical and commercial proposals are timely prepared and presented to customers.
- Work closely with internal and external business partners.
- Represent the full value chain of the Offshore Solutions business in the designated region or customer base individually and in concert with internal complementary business partners.
- Attend Industry events including presenting papers and networking.
- Through tools keep close track on activities and opportunities
What You Bring
Required knowledge/skills, education, and experiences to be considered for this position.
- BS EE or ME or B.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in relevant technology or business management, maritime/offshore engineering/operations
- Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) experience
- Detailed system knowledge and understanding of Electrical systems, incl. Transmission, distribution, Variable Frequency Drives, Electrical Equipment and Automation, process control and safety systems & Digitalization philosophies and battery-based Energy Storage applications.
- High degree of operational understanding of offshore owners and operators’ business drivers
- Advanced knowledge and network access of the Offshore Production, -Drilling and -Vessel’s market.
- Previous sales and business development experience
- Preferably 10+ years in combined Sales Management and/or Business Development activities within Oil/Gas(offshore) Industry
- Extensive knowledge of and contacts among the different stake players, i.e.
- Energy companies (Operators) and Rigs/Ships/Production assets
- EPC’s, Integrators and intermediates
- Advanced Commercial and project management understanding
- Established network in the Offshore Industry
- Experience with Salesforce CRM tool
- Complex Contract Negotiation
- Consistent record in sophisticated Sales and risk Management Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
