You want to write your master’s thesis with a certain practical relevance in industry but still close to research? Come and join our team of experts for Primary and Secondary Electric at Siemens Energy and become an active part of the energy transition. Gain insights into a wide range of areas and processes related to water electrolysis for the production of green hydrogen and help us to stay in a leading role within a sector with promising future. Together with you, we will shape the green hydrogen economy!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Literature study on transformers and their behavior in converter systems
- Familiarization with the existing internal design tool for transformers
- Implementation and comparison of different transformer models with regard to their electromagnetic behavior
- Validation of your results
- Document your work and results by writing and submitting your master´s thesis
What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in a University to undertake a master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or any other similar fields
- Good theoretical understanding of transformers and power electronic converters
- Previous experience in numerical FEM simulation is an advantage
- High level of motivation to work on cutting-edge power electronics technology
- Ability and willingness to learn new fields
- Ability to work independently and with high internal motivation in a dynamic environment
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
