Fitter’s Responsibilities
Must demonstrate a satisfactory completion of the Fitter training, or hold four (4) years of experience or more in the aero‑engine fitter profession. They must perform all adjustment and assembly work required by the Company. They are responsible for the quality of their work. They must assist other employees in their work, when required.
Secondary tasks include :
- Electrical verifications using equipment (multimeter, DitmCO);
- Demagnetizing;
- Ensure that the expiration dates of calibrated and lifting tools are consistent, as well as out-of-stock hardware parts (bin items) within their respective workstations.
- Update the work plan in the system and verbally;
- Repairing and polishing components using repair schematics
Ø Rubbing pad
Ø Helicoil
Ø Shank nut
Ø Trap nut
Ø Polishing
Ø Painting without ventilation
Ø Preparation for decontamination of chrome 6 engine components
Ø Manufacture and repair of the engine electrical connections
Qualifications Required:
The Company recognizes candidates who have one of the following training that meets the requirements and qualifications required for the position.
- A college diploma in aeronautics;
- A certificate of study in aeronautics recognized by the Ministry of Education;
- A diploma of professional studies in aerospace;
- A relevant aeronautical training and experience acquired in the Canadian armed forces
- Ability to read, speak, write, understand and verbally express ideas and instructions in French.
