Field Service Technician for Electrical/I&C


The responsibilities that the candidate will undertake include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Take on maintenance tasks about turbine instrumentation having familiarity thermocouples, RTD’s, pressure sensors, vibration sensors, rotary encoders, etc. Generator testing, Voltage regulator, Protection and SFC installation, loop check, cold/hot commissioning will be considered in the scope of maintenance.
  • Remove and reassembly associated sensors, cabling, conduit, enclosures and fit associated with their installation in equipment that operates at high temperature
  • Document work performed including report of work done and datasheets
  • Take on the assigned tasks and lead subcontracted or customer technicians in the implementation of work activities at site dependent on outage scope if required.
  • Work hands on in a team of Siemens Energy Field service personnel even though specific I&C troubleshooting tasks may require individual dispatch
  • Support site administration, organizational task for the arrangement of hotel, transportation, logistics, warehouse, etc, if required.
  • Interface and coordinate between Customer, Engineering, PM and Supplier if applicable


  • The person who obtains qualifications for the following (아래의 자격증을 소지한 자)
    • 기술사 : 발송배전, 전기응용, 건축전기설비, 철도신호, 전기철도, 산업계측제어, 원자력발전, 전기안전
    • 기능장 : 전기
    • 기사 : 전기공사, 전기, 철도신호, 전기철도, 원자력, 신재생에너지발전설비 (태양광)
    • 산업기사 : 전기공사, 전기, 철도신호, 전기철도, 신재생에너지발전설비 (태양광)
  • Basic knowledge of written and spoken English to understand English technical documentation and report his work done at the site.
  • Open to travel to customer sites for preparation and survey activities related to upcoming outages or to our Tool Facility for specific tasks associated with preparation of outage tooling.
  • Open additional work including weekend, holiday or Nightshift work.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experiences for electrical / I&C at the powerplant site
  • Related technical degree at university or college

Employment condition

  • Start to work : ASAP
  • Contract type : Temporary contract for 1 year (could be extended upon the performance)
  • Working location : Powerplant site of Siemens Energy in the republic of Korea, Country HQ office in Seoul and other business related places in/out of Korea
  • Compensation : apply to internal rules & guideline
  • Hiring legal entity : Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG
