A Snapshot of Your Day
The role involves coordinating the deployment of Field Service resources to carry out maintenance activities on Turbines across Mexico, working closely with the Latin America Region and engaging with other international hubs. This position supports service projects for Large, Medium, Small, and Aeroderivative Gas Turbines in Mexico, along with driven equipment like compressors and power generators. Daily responsibilities include selecting qualified workers for service appointments in collaboration with Service Managers, updating service schedules and resource availability in Sales Force, managing a database for training and certification plans, organizing pre-mobilization meetings, and contributing to technical scopes and cost estimates. Proficiency in English is essential due to regular communication with teams in the US and Europe. Reporting progress to the District Service Manager regularly is also part of the role. A technical degree and at least 3 years of experience as a resource planner are preferred qualifications.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Coordinating the deployment of Field Service resources to conduct maintenance on turbines across Mexico involves a range of responsibilities:
Staffing Coordination: Selecting qualified workers from the Field Service pool for service appointments, collaborating with Service Managers to balance workload and forecasts.
International Resource Allocation: Allocating international resources as needed, in coordination with the Latin America Region and potentially other international hubs.
Schedule Management: Updating service schedules and resource availability within Sales Force to ensure efficient planning and execution.
Training and Certification Oversight: Managing the database for Field Services training and certification plans to ensure compliance and competence.
Pre-Mobilization Preparation: Ensuring that all Field Services receive comprehensive pre-mobilization briefings for each assignment.
Technical Planning: Participating in the technical planning process for outages, supporting Service Managers in developing technical scopes and cost estimates.
Reporting: Regularly reporting progress to the District Service Manager.
Moreover, you'll be expected to comply with and enforce the protocols, policies, guidelines, and competencies of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality), which is mandatory for all positions in Mexico and auditable.
What You Bring
University Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferable (Bachelor’s degree).
Professional Experience (3+ years) as a service planner or project engineer in the Power or Oil & Gas sectors;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience as Field Service Engineer is a plus.
General technical knowledge on turbines and power plants.
Good verbal communication skills with the ability to fluently speak, write, and read in English, at professional working proficiency level.
Willingness to travel occasionally for customers meetings.
