- Literature study: study of electrolyzer technology, power converter technologies, existing KPIs
- KPI identification and formulation in a MATLAB tool: define a comprehensive set of KPIs and develop mathematical models to calculate them
- GUI design: create a user-friendly GUI within MATLAB that allows users to input parameters, run simulations, and visualize KPIs
- Comparative analysis: analyze the results to determine the strengths and weaknesses of each technology
- Optimization strategy: develop an algorithm within the tool to suggest an optimal mixture of thyristor and IGBT technologies based on specific project requirements and KPI outcomes
- Validate the optimization algorithm through case studies
- Documentation and user manual: document the development process, algorithms used, and the design of the GUI, create a comprehensive user manual that guides users on how to use the tool effectively
- Document your results by writing and submitting your Master thesis
- Currently enrolled in a University to undertake a Master's Degree program in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or any other similar fields
- Strong background in electrical engineering, power electronics, and MATLAB programming
- Familiarity with GUI design and an understanding of electrolyzer systems will be advantageous
- Previous experience in power electronics preferred (related topics in Bachelor´s thesis, university projects, job experience, etc.)
- High level of motivation to work on cutting-edge optimization tool
- Ability and willingness to learn new fields
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a plus
- Ability to work independently and with high internal motivation in a dynamic environment
