Your profile

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Relative work experience preferred 
  • The ability to read, write, and to complete electronic reports and forms.
  • Ability to do shop mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, and a variety of precision measuring instruments. 
  • Complete all requirements for NDE Level II Certification in at least two methods/techniques.
  • Candidates must demonstrate computer reproducibility in using Microsoft Excel and Word and should have experience in performing visual inspection of complex parts with complex geometries, show proficiency in using non-destructive inspection techniques, fixtures and tools which includes hands on dimensional measuring skills and proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.  Candidates with background and experience in testing and inspection, component repair and manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Control and/ Inspection is mandatory.

Your responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to accomplish parts preparation to perform NDE, dimensional inspections, airflow testing etc. on products, record, and document operational and inspection results, and verify compliance with all Integrated Management System and customer requirements.

  • Perform all assigned NDE operations according to IMS and order instructions. 
  • Setup and operate testing equipment to conduct tests on various turbine components. 
  • Utilize power tools to perform operations on various turbine components.    
  • Assist in loading components onto fixtures for processing.
  • Loading, unloading, and routing components prior to inspection, repair or coating.
  • Operate Airflow and/or moment weigh equipment.
  • Transport components to various workstations within the department and facility.
  • Assist in performing preventative maintenance of department equipment including maintaining records and logs.
  • Retrieve and return tools and fixtures that are used for processing components.
  • Able to enter computer data in Microsoft Excel and Word used to verify specifications.

Some of the operations include and not limited to Chemical Stripping, Thermal Coating, Fluoride Ion Cleaning, Braze operations, Machining, Forming, Welding, onsite Wastewater Treatment plant, etc.
