A Snapshot of Your Day
As a lead proposal engineer (f/m/d) you are involved in an international team, check the expectation of your clients and you find the best solution in our portfolio. You are supported by technical experts and align with other technical disciplines and the proposal and sales team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Review Request for Quotations (RFQs), identify critical project requirements, and convert customer and project specifications into internal requirements, developing comments and deviations with input from engineering departments
- Coordinate with engineering departments to gather cost input and review cost estimates alongside project execution schedules
- Identify project specific risks and quantifying them. Develop mitigations to ensure proper proposal cost calculation and documentation
- Establish and negotiate scope of supply (DOR/DOS) with costumer and external partners
- Participate in customer and Architect Engineer meetings, conference calls and contract negotiation meetings and ensure technical documents are consistent with cost and project requirements
- Coordinate with sales, commercial, finance and engineering groups to support proposal activities
- Option for further development to take over team lead function in execution after successful bidding
What You Bring
- College degree, preferably in process engineering or similar fields. Knowledge/ specialization in conventional island/ nuclear power plants are beneficial
- 5+ years of successful tendering and proposals track record in the power sector preferred
- Proficient in system engineering for water-/steam cycle and auxiliary systems, covering plant concept setup, Steam Turbine integration, Heat Balance Diagrams, P&ID design, main and auxiliary component process design, and Start-Up planning
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and German, coupled with proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel and MS Word
- Capable of thriving in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment and open to occasional domestic and international travel (<10%)
