How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You are passionate about ensuring on-time deliverables that meet customer requirements, specifications, and proposals, and design automation systems for small upgrades; and provide direct technical support to customers from requests in case management system.
  • You will create maintenance procedures and faultfinding diagrams / documentation for Siemens Energy scope for supply equipment.
  • You will provide engineering support for Field Service Engineers working in the field. You will provide technical content for Customized Product manuals and support Sales and Spares Organization to define solutions.
  • You will lead Remote connection system to customer sites, and directly contact engineering teams on design changes and upgrade projects. You will also perform Root Cause Analysis on system failures.
  • You enjoy learning the latest industrial solutions and new product developments within Siemens Energy.
  • You are open to travel domestically, with some international travel to other Siemens and customer facilities  (up to approx. 30%).

What You Bring

  • You have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field with 10+ years experience in Automation/Control System Solution Design with Service or Commissioning Experience. PLC and SCADA programming and configuration experience is a must.
  • You are familiar with applicable North American and international codes and standards and can read schematics and interpret customer specifications. You have strong communication skills and can relay critical information to all business partners.
  • You might have the following preferable experience:
    • Fiber, Marine, Drilling or Offshore production working experience
    • Variable Frequency Drive Systems experience
    • Power systems Design (e.g. Power System Analysis, Power system protection, Grid analysis)
    • Siemens Automation hands on experience S5, S7, TIA, PCS7
    • Ignition hands on experience
    • IEC and NEMA knowledge
