A Snapshot of Your Day

- Work on data quality improvement initiatives, like Implementing data cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes to enhance data accuracy and completeness.
- Update and maintain documentation related to data models, data governance policies, and data dictionaries.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and data quality enhancement.
- Offer guidance and expertise to colleagues and stakeholders who may have questions or concerns related to master data.
- Conduct training sessions or workshops for data stewards and business users.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and implement a comprehensive MDM strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals. Identify, collect and resolve data-related errors and issues throughout the organization.
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, standards, and practices while collaborating with data stewards and business units to ensure compliance with data governance policies.
- Lead efforts to assess and improve data quality. This involves defining data quality metrics, setting data quality rules, and implementing data cleansing and data enrichment processes.
- Design data models and mappings to ensure the accurate representation of master data across systems. Ensure data mapping is consistent with business requirements.
- Use data analytics and reporting tools to generate insights from master data. Provide reports and dashboards to stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making. Design, communicate and train various teams (the team, internal stakeholders, data stewards, business users etc.) on Master Data management and governance practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate master data management with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and automation, driving innovation in data governance and quality improvement. Lead initiatives to integrate master data management with enterprise-wide digital transformation efforts, ensuring seamless data flow and alignment with evolving business systems and technologies.
What You Bring
- +5 years’ experience managing master data across a complex international supply chain in an SAP environment. Experience in the SAP MM module is an advantage.
- Strategic thinking to align master data initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Strong expertise in change management, particularly in guiding organizations through MDM-related transformations and ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies. Ability to articulate the business value of MDM initiatives and gain buy-in from key decision-makers.
- Experience in developing and executing data management and MDM strategies.
- Several years of hands-on experience in MDM, data governance, or related roles. Strong data analysis skills, including data profiling, data quality assessment, and data cleansing.
- Solid understanding of database systems, data warehousing, and data modelling. Ability to understand complex data requirements and project management skills to lead MDM projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource management.
