Internal Job Title – Customer Technical Support Engineer
We are recruiting for a Customer Technical Support (CTS) Engineer to work within the service business based in Lincoln, supporting our Small Gas Turbine (SGT) fleet. We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to work in a friendly team environment, where full training will be given to the successful candidate. We are looking for someone who is punctual and reliable with excellent attention to detail.

Your profile
Engineering graduate (or equivalent) with relevant experience.
A high-level technical understanding of the operation of small gas turbines.
Good analytical skills as there will be a need to support junior members of the team with issue resolution.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
A working knowledge of remote diagnostics / condition monitoring systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
Proven leadership skills in an engineering environment.
More than anything we are looking for enthusiastic and flexible personnel who are willing to help develop and deliver a world-class proactive support service to the SGT business and our customers.
Your responsibilities
Working within the Customer Technical Support Group you will be responsible for providing office and site-based support to Siemens Energy customers and Field Service personnel through staffing of the Technical Support Helpdesk. 
You will work within a team of engineers with high amounts of experience and technical knowledge in a wide range of disciplines. 
Make autonomous decisions to resolve problems. 
Some responsibility for mentoring more junior members of the team (as applicable). 
Highly motivated person with a ‘can do’ attitude and is willing to take on new challenges and adopts a positive approach to work and their personal life
Excellent interpersonal skills, will be confident in communicating at all levels. 
Ability to understand/learn turbine mechanical and control systems and use knowledge to diagnose related problems, and issue corrective actions and an eye for detail and be able to describe to others system functions clearly.
