A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, the payroll operating model moving forward will be fully comprehensive. It will be split between a professional HR Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider for zero to gross processing and handled payroll (gross to net) with industry-leading payroll providers. We are looking for a Regional Payroll Manager who will handle the payroll service delivery in Austria, Switzerland, and partially Germany. This role involves working alongside a global and complementary team of senior payroll leaders to ensure and maintain fit-for-purpose processes, governing end-to-end delivery in a timely and accurate manner.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsible for supervising the payroll transformation process and supporting the Regional Payroll Lead in managing relationships with external partners and payroll providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with payroll vendors in the DACH region and collaborate with other HR Services teams.
- Boost payroll performance of third parties by evaluating key areas and finding opportunities for improvement (i.e., automating processes) to maintain global standards and optimize operational efficiency.
- Manage communication with local and regional collaborators (HR, Accounting, Treasury, Legal) to ensure efficient payroll processes.
- Investigate and resolve sophisticated payroll queries from HR, managers, and employees promptly and accurately.
- Coordinate documentation of payroll procedures and support the implementation of HR Services Strategy for payroll tools and processes at European and global levels.
What You Bring
- The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or a background in economics studies, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in German and fluent English is a must
- Proven experience of minimum 3 years in HR and Payroll Operations, with a strong emphasis on vendor management across multiple countries.
- High level of affinity to and experience with Payroll solutions
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders while also being capable of independent work, fostering trust, and empowering teams for successful outcomes.

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 55.419,70 € gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
