A Snapshot of Your Day
The Project Procurement Manager (PPM) Execution Professional supports the business in the Americas Region. The PPM is the Procurement lead in the execution phase for Large Rotating Equipment (LRE) and Industrial Gas Turbines (IGT). The PPM role integrates procurement in the project management processes and project teams by introducing procurement/sourcing strategies to contribute to project and operative results. Completing site support purchases and tracking project budgets is another aspect of the PPM role that can be carried out.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Analyze scope of supply, contractual obligations and understand customer’s project needs. Identify and incorporate procurement risks, opportunities, and potential changes.
- Expedite as needed and serve as liaison between vendors and users.
- Develop requests for quotes and develop new supply sources.
- Place and execute purchase orders for engine related components and site support needs.
- Liaise and interface with Project Management and other procurement department functions for enhancing the projects execution and facilitating the resolution of any related technical or administrative problems.
- Clarify internal indicators for project controlling and compiling all relevant information to submit qualified reports for the project team, procurement management team (e. g. progress reports, expediting schedules, scorecard, and quality plans etc.).
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 5+ years of successful experience in purchasing and/or project management.
- Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of area of specialization.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, using an organized and disciplined approach.
- Excellent communication skills!
- Comfortable working in an international environment and willing to travel internationally.
