Your profile

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED
  • SMAW, GTAW, PTAW welding certifications
  • Previous experience with the operation of forklifts.
  • Possess the ability to communicate with supervisors clearly, professionally, and effectively
  • Follow verbal and/or written instructions.

Your responsibilities

  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Use various measuring instruments to verify conformance of work pieces to specifications
  • required by blueprints, specifications or procedures. Record welding log and maintain welding
  • records.
  • Knowledge of production inventory management such as proper handling of scrap, questionable parts,
  • identifying parts and parts inventory discrepancies.
  • Develop and demonstrate a working knowledge of welding equipment and processes and shop
  • tool use.
  • Perform cellular work (multiple machines or multiple tasks) as required.
  • Perform rework of parts when required.
  • Perform non-value added tasks internal to machine cycle in all cases where applicable (i.e.:
  • preventative maintenance, inspection, clean-up, setups, deburring).
  • Assist in the preparation of process specifications and operating procedures.
  • Assist in the solution of plant operating problems and/or cost reduction projects.
  • Assist in training of employees in the department and from other departments, job
  • classifications, or levels
  • Operate and maintain equipment in department in a safe and productive manner.
  • Knowledge of crane operation.
  • Knowledge of Preheat and PWHT procedures. Programming of Ipsen and Lucifer heating
  • ovens.
  • Handle liquid nitrogen, if required.
  • Interact with production employees, engineering, and management in the execution of day to
  • day job tasks.
  • Demonstrate a dedicated responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies,
  • specifications, regulations, and instructions.
  • Perform all general shop tasks assigned by supervisor or any other duties assigned by
  • management.
