Your profile

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED
  •  Follow verbal and written instructions. 
  • Read and interpret schematics, blue prints, specifications, and procedures. 
  • Understand and effectively use all tools and equipment in the department. 
  • Minimum of 12 months experience as an Assembly 1, or equivalent industry experience. 
  • Forklift driver’s license, if required.  
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers

Your responsibilities

  •  Accurately perform work per assembly/repair procedures, work instructions, sales order special instructions, and any other procedures or instructions required in work orders. 
  •  Knowledge of one or more product lines and at least three operation stations in each. 
  •  Demonstrate knowledge of production inventory management such as proper handling of scrap, questionable parts, and parts presentation on line, parts not available on line, identifying parts and parts inventory discrepancies. 
  •  Interpret Bill of Materials, Drawings and Diagrams. 
  •  Verify all part numbers, heat numbers and match correct numbers to sales orders. 
  •  Perform special cleaning, deburring, and grinding of parts 
  •  Polishing, drill and tap threaded holes. 
  •  Perform simple dimensional measurements. 
  •  Lapping of major components 
  •  Knowledge of crane operation with some rigging experience. 
  •  Assist in training of employees in the department, other departments, job classifications, or levels. 
  •  Interact with production employees, engineering, and management in the execution of day to day job tasks. 
  •  Demonstrate a dedicated responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions. 
  •  Perform all general shop tasks assigned by supervisor or any other duties assigned by management
