A Snapshot of Your Day

As a quality manager in projects, you are a productive member of the project core teams. Both the project managers and the other project employees value your QM expertise and turn to you with questions, problems and QM tasks. They all know that you can provide valuable and structured assistance, e.g. in planning and carrying out customer acceptance tests, in external or customer audits, and in finding sustainable solutions to problems in order to avoid costs for faulty performance.

Already in the bidding phase, you support the bidding team in identifying and evaluating quality requirements and potential risks. The many lessons learned from other projects will help you in your day-to-day work. If you succeed in winning the customer project, you will pull together with the project teams to achieve the set project goals to the satisfaction of our customers. In doing so, you never lose sight of the process-related boundary conditions and know how to coach the project teams pragmatically in complying with them, or even better, to give valuable suggestions for their continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You identify solution-, product- and process-related quality requirements from customer contracts / R&D orders and other requirements, track them and provide "hands on" support in their fulfillment
  • You plan all QM activities in the projects, check the appropriateness and effectiveness of the Q measures, track them and support the project teams in their implementation
  • You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and ordering project, product and process audits as well as preparing, coordinating and conducting audits and acceptances in cooperation with internal and external customers, suppliers and auditing institutions.
  • If required, you will, for example, support the purchasing organization in the development and qualification of suppliers and materials.
  • In addition, you will be actively involved in the planning and execution of project milestones and quality gates, in risk management, and in controlling the timely execution and quality of content of milestone and risk meetings, including controlling of measures.
  • In case of non-conformance issues, you will drive structured problem solving processes with the goal of sustainable continuous improvement of our solutions and processes.
  • You will also be responsible for monitoring compliance with specified processes (including coaching of project teams) and actively contributing to lessons learned.
  • You will collect key figures to measure product/service and process quality and ensure the planning and safeguarding of quality reporting
  • You will be actively involved in general project management and project-specific solution/product development

What You Bring

  • You have successfully completed your Master's degree in electrical engineering, Energy technology and renewable energies, Power Electronics, electrical drive engineering, automation technology or a comparable discipline and have never lost focus of the operational technical aspects of your work.
  • In addition, you have already gained several years of professional experience in the industrial plant business (e.g. as (partial) project manager, (lead) engineer) and ideally already have experience as test field engineer and/or commissioning engineer
  • Good knowledge of quality management methodologies (e.g. FMEA, 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, Lessons Learned, ...) of QM standards, as well as experience in conducting audits and moderation of QM methods characterize you
  • You have knowledge of drive, energy and automation technology as well as knowledge of norms and standards in plant construction
  • You have good communication/teamwork skills and assertiveness as well as ideally intercultural experience with foreign partners and customers.
  • You never retreat to demanding results alone, but always help to achieve these results in a responsible and service-oriented manner.
  • You are willing to travel worldwide (approx. 30%).
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English round off your profile
