Our global engineering / RnD / procurement / service / sales teams are searching for multiple ambitious professionals who are willing to take on the challenge to develop new battery storage applications and establish them successfully in the market.


How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • As an expert in energy storage (battery, power conversion system (PCS), and controls), you will be responsible for developing best-fit solutions for the customer 
  • As a Sales / Business Developer you are defining, initiating, and selling Battery Energy Storage System use cases in the context of hybridization, transformation of energy systems and infrastructure under a clear understanding of the customer needs and the market 
  • As a Portfolio Professional you are responsible for growing a sub-component or portfolio element to excellence
  • As an Offer Engineer you are processing of extensive tenders with a focus on battery systems/PCS and integration of the storage solution into existing power plants, new builds, or infrastructure assets. Leading of the development and improvement of required Bidding Tools are one of the fields of action
  • As a Solution Engineer you are developing layouts, designs and integration of the individual components of a battery storage system and ensuring compatibility, i.e. battery system, PCS and control system
  • As a RnD Engineer you are developing of OPEX and CAPEX-optimized storage solutions in terms of quality, cost and technical suitability
  • As technical procurement Engineer you are working on definitions of requirements, specifications, and test procedures for procurement of the main components
  • As design engineer you are responsible for implementation and guidance of Basic & Detail Engineering activities 
  • All colleagues will benefit from Siemens Energy-wide collaboration to consolidate different solutions
  • All colleagues will work on contributions to improvements and increased competitiveness 
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, electrochemistry, mathematics, power electronics, automation, controls, or a similar field
  • First experience in battery technology for storage application (battery, LV-inverter, transformer,  or controls), battery systems, modules and subcomponents or power conversion systems (PCS) or controls (EMS, VPP, PCS – level)
  • Basic know-how about standards, regulations, grid codes and market requirements
  • Knowledge in batteries and battery systems with focus on Lithium technology
  • Understanding of battery degradation and life cycle behavior and resulting customer-oriented solution development
  • Good communication and presentation skills and a self-organized way of working in an intercultural environment
  • Fluent in English and German skills
