Your profile

·        Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technician

·        Minimum 4-10 years' experience in electric generator rewinding, assembly, and re-alignment

·        Knowledge and operation of tools rigging and lifting devices as well as perform electrical tests e.g. megger hi pot testing and utility electrical testing

·        Experience in rewedging stators, electrical fitting (disassembly/ inspect repair/ rebuild of electrical components)

Your responsibilities

·        Perform dismantling, inspection, evaluation, repair, and re-assembling on large utility generators

·        Partial or complete rotor and stator rewinds on power generation stators up to 1000 MW

·        Perform field electrical condition electrical tests

·        Dismantle generator rotors in the field ( end cap removal)

·        Job requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, climb ladders and stairs, and work in tight spaces

·        Extensive travel and work at customer sites for extended durations required (70% travel time)

About the Team 

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
