A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Project Manager within a dynamic team led by the Senior Vice President of Innovation, you will play a pivotal role in executing large-scale projects that align with the strategic objectives of the Innovation Function, the Global Functions team, and various Business Areas. Your leadership and expertise will drive initiatives that foster collaboration, enhance communication, and promote the advancement of innovative solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Proactively identify, define, and create strategic opportunities for the Innovation Function to learn from industry leaders, research institutions, and universities. Facilitate partnerships and collaborations that enhance the organization’s innovative capabilities and promote its message to external stakeholders.
- Craft clear and compelling messages for external engagements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Collect and analyze feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for continuous improvement, enhancing the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Develop a deep understanding of the global Innovation Ecosystem and the interconnections between the Innovation Function and other organizational efforts. Identify and suggest relevant opportunities for collaboration and synergy that can drive innovation forward.
- Design and implement a structured program that ensures each Business Area has a dedicated representative within the Innovation Function. Manage this program effectively, ensuring that stakeholder feedback is collected, analyzed, and acted upon to enhance collaboration and project outcomes.
- Collaborate with leaders of the Innovation Centers to establish and maintain robust monthly and quarterly reporting mechanisms. Ensure that project performance metrics are tracked, analyzed, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Engage closely with the Communications function and regional Hubs to ensure that all messaging is consistent, compliant, and effectively conveys the Innovation Function’s objectives and achievements.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a world-class industrial research facility, with a strong preference for experience in the energy sector. Proven track record of managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment wirh at least 5 years of experience in operations and management of a portfolio of early-stage R&D projects aimed at developing industrial products and services. Demonstrated ability to drive projects from conception to commercialization.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with a proven ability to apply these practices effectively to ensure project success.
- Experience in planning and executing large customer events, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of project requirements and compliance standards for both private and public funding sectors, including grant applications and reporting obligations.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

This job may be based in New York. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position if based in New York is $190-220k and the annual incentive target is 20% of base salary.
Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
