The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing SQL databases and data pipelines to support scalable and efficient data processing. Responsibilities include building reusable ETL/ELT pipelines, modeling clean and accurate data for reporting, and ensuring high performance and compliance in data operations. The position also supports analytics through trusted datasets and semantic models for Tableau dashboards, while maintaining thorough documentation for collaboration and governance.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL databases, views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and lake-houses using various tools and platforms.
  • Collaborate with analysts to model clean, accurate, and reporting-ready data.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance of data pipelines and datasets.
  • Ensure data security, quality, and compliance through standardized processes.
  • Prepare trusted datasets and semantic models for Tableau dashboards, with thorough documentation to support governance and collaboration.
  • Document data models, pipelines, and structures to improve collaboration and governance.

What You Bring

  • Candidates should have a tertiary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess relevant industry certifications. A solid foundation in IT is important for understanding database structures, data pipelines, and analytics tools used in this role.
  • Skills in relational database design and dynamic SQL.
  • Skilled in building ETL/ELT pipelines and leading large datasets.
  • Familiarity with lakehouse or modern data architecture patterns.
  • Demonstrable understanding of data quality and governance principles.
  • Tight-knit teamwork and communication with technical and business teams.
