A Snapshot of Your Day
In your role as an Expert (f/m/d) for Efficiency Development Processes, you are focused on enhancing the efficiency of development processes for transformers and switchgears, reporting directly to the head of development within the product management function of Siemens Energy’s Grid Technologies business area. As an expert, you inspire teams and management to implement the latest techniques to improve performance, requiring a collaborative, team-oriented approach with developers to demonstrate their proven experience and drive productivity. Your success is measured by the team’s increased efficiency and productivity, particularly in reducing time-to-market, which ensures visibility within the product management department. You combine expertise in product development processes with knowledge of the latest market technologies, continuously supervising advancements and assessing their applicability. Collaborating closely with developers, you prototype and test new methods, evaluating their potential for productivity gains, which may also lead to changes in processes and internal design tools. The impact of these initiatives can extend beyond product development to site engineering, as similar engineering tools are often applied. Additionally, you operate in an international environment, engaging with development teams and internal customers located at various sites worldwide.

What You Bring
- University degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Extensive experience in hardware development or a related field
- Proven track record of leading teams to success and improving development process efficiency
- Knowledge of the latest techniques used in development processes and quality assurance combined with experience in applying product developments to production processes
- Business fluent in English, knowledge of German is advantageous
- Strong social skills, including the ability to inspire and lead without formal authority, along with self-motivation, reliability, analytical thinking and networking skills
