A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking exceptional candidates for a Digitalization Specialist position to join the operations team at Siemens Energy Richland plant. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and designing of Software Applications and integrating into underlying Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). You will participate in business process review and improvements.
You will participate and perform at every level of the development life cycle. Requirements gathering, design, development, testing/ QA, implementation, training, and maintenance.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Under general supervision, this position designs and implements innovative and digital solutions in production from planning to production and drives the digitalization of Assembly processes.
  • Consulting, implementing, and supporting the full lifecycle of products Design and development of business processes and corresponding new software applications and interfaces required.
  • Emphasize innovate and digital solutions inside Assembly Engineering to improve existing processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective design solutions for the shop floor by assisting the Production System from an engineering perspective.
  • Support implementation and standardization of existing and new systems and digitalization solutions across all shops and areas of the organization.
  • Stay updated of the latest in world class manufacturing techniques and continually improve in knowledge, ability, and methods.
  • Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards, and laws.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent subject area with strong experience in software programing
  • 3+ years relevant software development experience crafting VB application.
  • Basic or sophisticated skills in reading/writing code (VB, .net .)
  • Experience with database (Oracle or SQL ) is desired.
  • Experience or knowledge of business process will give added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Alteryx , UiPath ,Tableau or other automations tools is desired,
  • Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry standard processes ..
  • Use software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process.
  • Develop user-friendly front end graphical user interfaces.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information, both verbally and in writing as well as ability to communicate efficiently with all vital parties on a regular basis. Excellent verbal and written skills, inter-personal skills, good analytical ability, creativity, presentation, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work well with multi-functional teams.
