A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Client Manager, you will drive all customer activity during the sales phase, from initial opportunity development through to order entry. This includes sales campaigns and customized service for Siemens Energy Compressors in the local market. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional with technical experience who will actively manage an account base, build business opportunities, and drive customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the customers engineering, operation and maintenance and procurement teams for early business development, manage the respective relationships and develop and implement the sales strategies to secure orders for Siemens Energy’s products and services. You will identify the influencers and decision-makers in the customer organization and drive the Siemens Energy value proposition at each stage of acquisition cycle.

This position will report to the Sales Manager, based in Australia, but closely supported by the team in Japan and our global network.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • The Client Manager acts as a “face” to the assigned customers for all products within the Transformation of Industry business area for Compressors.
  • The areas of responsibilities broadly cover the following:
  1. Responsible for achieving annual sales targets.
  2. Development of the opportunity pipeline to achieve sales growth in the assigned accounts by leveraging your interpersonal skills to continuously build your knowledge of the customer.
  3. Identify and drive modernisation and upgrade opportunities that deliver value to the customers’ business.
  4. Play a key role in developing and promoting sales campaigns.
  5. As the face to the customer, ensure and continuously improve Customer Satisfaction.
  6. Improve existing, and build new, relationships with relevant stakeholders and customers.
  7. Undertake market and competition situation analysis.
  8. Maintain accurate information in our Customer Relationship Management Tools.
  9. Understand the local regulatory requirements for Compression equipment to guide the broader business.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or significant technical experience on compressors.
  • Strong technical understanding of compressors is required.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with all levels within customer organisation.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with a focus on technical differentiation and value selling.
  • Passion and proven success in achieving business growth and goals.
  • Good understanding of the local market and extensive relationships across the relevant customer organisations.
  • Distinct customer orientation and strong customer interface skills.
  • Team player who can influence and collaborate with multiple external and internal stakeholders at various levels.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Japanese fluent, English business level.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
