A Snapshot of Your Day

As the US Product Lead for Siemens Energy’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), every day is not the same in your multicultural team. You will be responsible with your colleagues for the development of best-in-class Battery Energy Storage Systems for our American customers in support of our Siemens Energy (SE) mission to decarbonize and #energize society.

Are you willing to take on the challenge of developing new battery storage solutions and establish them effectively in the market?

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Identify and translate customer and market requirements into technical requirements for the development of Siemens Energy’s American made BESS.
  • Be intimately aware of the current and future US market trends and needs from BESS.
  • Focus on setting ambitious targets and achieving competitive costs for the products by deriving ideas and ensuring implementation of cost reduction measures.
  • Define and communicate within the businesses key performance and market requirements for SE’s BESS system.
  • Work with international team of design engineers to bring defined market requirements to life in our product offerings.
  • Chart path for development of complete portfolio of SE domestically made BESS products, including setting prioritization.

What You Bring

  • A deep understanding of energy storage technologies, including experience developing battery energy storage systems and related products for the US market.
  • Comprehensive understanding of US BESS market dynamics, customer needs and products currently offered in the industry.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or similar technical discipline with at least 5 years professional working experience in the energy storage industry.
  • Independent work, combined with medium travel activity.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working in an international team environment.
