A Snapshot of Your Day
As sourcing manager for Heat Recovery Steam Generators / boiler systems in international proposal and execution teams and with international suppliers you will control and coordinate the fulfillment of the contractual requirements by the respective contractors within the project with the focus on budget, quality, safety, performance, and schedule requirements.
You are an integral part of the company’s supply chain management community and stay in contact with Engineering, Site Erection, Project Management, Sales/ Proposals, Logistics, Regional Units, international procurement organizations and sourcing hubs as well as with Suppliers, consultants, legal advisors, benchmarking partners.
In this role, you collaborate with the Project Manager HRSG and you will direct, lead and motivate your supplier to successfully fulfill the contractual requirements and obligations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will impact the success of the projects with your engagement for cost, quality, and time schedule for proposal and/or execution projects, mainly driven by supplier and contract management activities.
- Support of cost calculations for HRSG / boiler systems in proposal and/or execution projects is your daily business.
- As sourcing manager, you will evaluate the commercial part of the customer contract, prepare commercial contract conditions and commercial inquiry documents using the standard documents of Siemens Energy.
- You will compile the request for quotation documents for the contractor together with PM HRSG and support the evaluation and comparison of incoming offers.
- Contract negotiation and Contract management until contract signature is within your responsibility.
- As sourcing manager, you are responsible for controlling and coordinating the fulfillment of contractor’s time schedules, quality, and costs as well as review of contractor’s commercial documentation. You will also support PM HRSG and commercial project management in reviewing invoices.
- You develop / maintain appropriate global commodity / component strategies and ensure their implementation.
What You Bring
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar College degree.
- Expert knowledge in Supply Chain Management, drafting of contracts using international commercial contract conditions and experience in power plant execution and contractor management.
- Negotiating skills and experience in handling of different negotiating techniques
- Support the organization with your knowledge as commercial specialist with experience in Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) systems in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement/Fabrication, Erection /Commissioning) environment.
- Self-motivation with high energy drive, business sense and capability of multitasking, with excellent organizational skills while assuring a high-quality work process and willingness for business travels with international contacts.
- Excellent English and German skills.
- Capability to work in (virtual) international teams and with international suppliers within intercultural environments.
- Experience with document and data management tools
