A Snapshot of Your Day

In your role as Senior technical expert for the domain of electrolyzer grid connection you develop and steer future proof electrical supply to electrolyzers. This bases on your vast experience in designing a complete supply system with state-of-the-art characteristics, e.g. lowest harmonic distortion, while maintaining the most competitive costs for the total system upstream the electrolyzer. As part of an expert community, you also guide people on how to couple electrolysis systems with other converter-based system, such as photovoltaic plants, wind turbines or battery storage systems, or in islanded grids, and this in a global organization with people working in different locations.
Your outstanding domain expertise in transformers, rectifiers, switchgears, and filter equipment helps the SES product development teams to have to right products ahead of market trends. You also support project teams in project applications and in their interactions with customers and grid operators.
Come and join the future-oriented business of H2 Systems, its growing team and enjoy the beauty of hydrogen products & projects and in an ambitious environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Being the go-to person when it comes to the energy supply side of our electrolyzer product lines
  • Understand, lead the design and shape the total electrical supply system to the needs of the application embedded in an expert community and reporting directly to the head of Electrical Engineering in SES HS
  • Drive the development of innovative, competitive and reliable solutions for the electrolyzer supply systems in the MW-area, including self-contained calculation and design of rectifiers, transformers, switchgear, cooling systems as well as filter equipment
  • Deep understanding of electrical studies (harmonic analysis, short-circuit-analysis, stability analysis, etc.) drives your activities for component ratings.
  • Generate impulses for technology trends and innovative ideas for future electrolysis plants via external network
  • Guide non-experts, development teams and projects

What You Bring
  • Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, with strong focus on power engineering and power electronics
  • Ideally more than 10 years of experience at expert level around total electrical power supply side to large loads or connection of distributed generation units (for example medium voltage drives, wind turbine converters, etc.), including its development, integration and operation
  • Proof-pointed experience in the development, testing and operation of high current converter systems using IGBTs or IGCTs, minium 4 kA DC, substantially helps for this position
  • Previous experience regarding electrolysis application is a plus
