A Snapshot of Your Day

The Project Development Engineer is responsible for providing technical and commercial support for projects for reciprocating compressors and natural gas engines. The successful candidate will have a passion for reciprocating engines and also has a combination of skills to include sales, technology, and front facing client presentation abilities. Responsibilities include scope definition, preliminary project engineering, cost research, proposal development, negotiation, and hand-over to the execution Team! How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Perform front-end technical evaluations, perform basic calculations, and conduct preliminary design/proposal review meetings to mitigate technical risk on Gas Engine upgrade/revamp opportunities.
  • Present and promote value propositions to prospective customers and support aftermarket and order entry into various sales systems
  • Consult with customers to develop solutions, present technical and commercial proposal.
  • Align with engineering, operations, and supply chain management, as well as the assigned sales region to manage concrete opportunities through all stages of implementation along the sales funnel.
  • Create accurate and complete cost analysis for proposals.
  • Develop appropriate offer strategy together with the assigned sales region.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • Must have 0 to 5 years of related experience
  • Passion for Reciprocating Engines and Compressors and a desire to learn
  • Strong technical curiosity and ability; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication & writing skills. High level of tact, professionalism, and tenacity.
  • Experience in developing complex solutions and documenting their value propositions.

This job may be based in Fort Collins, CO.  Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.  Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://benefitsatenergy.com/thinking-of-joining.html.  The base salary range for this position ranges from $80,000-100,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
