How You’ll Make an Impact

• Responsible for supporting all aspects of maintenance and engineering activities at Midelec Power Plant, ensuring safe and reliable operations through a solid foundation of engineering and technical knowledge.
• Provide essential technical support to the maintenance department as needed.
• Offer plant equipment and system troubleshooting support to ensure optimal functionality.
• Assist the Maintenance Engineer/Manager in the development and implementation of the Maintenance Management System.
• Develop and implement systems for equipment monitoring and predictive/preventative maintenance.
• Report all activities of outside contractors to the Maintenance Manager.
• Provide necessary support during plant outages.
• Help maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools sufficient to support routine maintenance activities.
• Support safety and environmental initiatives, including assisting in safety meetings and plant safety inspections.
• Conduct investigations into equipment failures to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support for the Associate Buyer to ensure the procurement of appropriate materials and services

What you Bring

• Technical diploma in mechanical engineering or related. 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in gas turbines or rotating equipment.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot plant equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Understanding of safety and environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to provide effective support during plant outages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
