This Grid Technologies Hub is responsible for strategic resourcing across the UK & Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark service businesses, focusing on resource strategy and management. As a Resource Planner, your role will be to implement the global resource strategy while supporting alignment of business systems and processes with operational teams.

The main objective of this position is to enable long-term planning in line with business growth, supplementing existing operational resource processes. This multifaceted and engaging role plays a crucial part in driving business expansion. It is important to note that this role does not involve direct line management of field resources.

How you'll make an Impact
  • Develop and implement global excellence resource strategies that aligns with the GT Service's overall business objectives.
  • Implement the Regional Development Plan collaborating with the Training department.
  • Lead the implementation of the Salesforce Lightning system and contribute to system improvements and ensuring the system delivers the required outputs.
  • Responsible for inputs into the Hub Hiring Plan and aligning with the head of the business.
  • Part of the Global Resource Management (GRM) group.
  • Collaborate with department heads and project managers to understand their resource requirements and ensure that resources are allocated appropriately.
  • Supervise resource usage and availability and adjust as needed to meet changing business needs.
  • Analyse resource data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain resource management policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to resource management.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on resource utilization and performance to senior management.
  • Identify and implement standard processes for resource management to drive continuous improvement.

What you bring
  • Business Administration, Management, or a qualification in a related field.
  • Proven experience in resource management, project management, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in resource management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in a similar industry or sector.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • This position may require occasional travel.
  • Standard office environment with regular use of computers and other office equipment.
