A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy Blades & Vanes Manufacturing is seeking a Factory Controller to be an integral member of this highly visible, dynamic, and hard-working team! You will coordinate local factory finance activities to ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting for the Gibsonton blade & vane casting factory. Other activities include balance sheet valuation, product cost analysis, forecast development, budgeting, and month-end closing while supporting line management in analysis and decision-making needs, critical metrics/ P&L monitoring, both ad hoc and routine!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Finance partner for Factory Operations: Act as a key financial advisor, providing insights and support to ensure alignment between the financial goals and operational performance in the factory environment.
  • Monthly closing activities: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and actual reporting processes to ensure accurate financial representation, while identifying trends to drive decision-making.
  • Cost management and analysis: Oversee utilization, total cost, and absorption metrics, delivering detailed financial analysis to supervise performance and optimize resource allocation.
  • Variance analysis and reporting: Conduct in-depth data analysis to explain variances, providing clear, actionable insights to stakeholders to drive financial accountability and transparency.
  • Capital expenditure evaluations: Evaluate cases for capital expenditures, ensuring investments align with company financial goals and deliver measurable returns.
  • Hourly rate and invoicing activities: Perform hourly rate cost analyses, manage invoicing, and support Request for Quote (RFQ) activities to ensure accurate cost assessments and competitive pricing.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, or business administration.
  • 3+ years of experience in operational controlling and cost accounting.
  • Deep understanding of cost center structures, rates, allocations, and burdens.
  • Ability to understand basic technical processes.
  • Flexibility and willingness to change and improve processes.
  • Concise and comprehensive communication skills.
  • Ability to consolidate complex financial topics into management presentations.
  • Motivation to develop own skills further.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
