The Country Compliance Officer will be responsible for working directly with Siemens Energy stakeholders within Malaysia. You will be a primary compliance resource with responsibilities of adhering and measuring compliance, including the six risk areas of Anti-Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Trust, Data Privacy, Export Control and Human Rights. You ensure that the company operates within ethical and legal framework while adhering to policies and procedures.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Provide advisory and guidance to business stakeholders, employees and other corporate teams on compliance topics and emerging risk areas.
• Implement Global compliance policies and procedures, tailored to meet local laws and regulations.
• Carry out frequent risk assessments to proactively identify potential areas of non-compliance and partner with team members on mitigation steps.
• Apply global resources to build customized training and awareness programs for local audiences, encouraging a culture of ethical decision-making and compliance.
• Support the independent investigation team with ongoing investigations, assist in implementing decisions of the local disciplinary committee, monitor implementation of remedial actions arising out of investigations.
• Conduct periodic compliance monitoring and checks for defined risk areas and activities, conduct site reviews, report outcomes to local/global management, define and implement remedial actions. Also build and manage effective action plans in response to audit observations and compliance violations.

What You Bring

• Degree or equivalent experience in law, finance, risk management, accounting, auditing, business management, or related areas.
• Proven experience, preferably in energy industry, high risk countries or in risk, compliance, governance roles. Core experience in compliance will be an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of local and international laws relating to compliance, more specifically to the assigned risk areas.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build, influence and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders. Fluency in English language is required.
• Ability to assume responsibility for multiple topics and resolve them effectively.
• Highly analytical, innovative approach using tech/data, with strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to travel.
