A Snapshot of Your Day

This is a working leadership position managing logistics of some projects while directing a team of logistics specialists who carry out the logistics requirements on both projects and product deliveries. Reporting to the Head of Order Management within Grid Technologies US, this person will support logistics strategy development, review / develop business processes, support supplier development and complete a portion of the logistics portfolio while leading the team in support of the same.

Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a safe, on time and in budget deliveries that meet or exceed customer expectation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide oversight and be accountable for the logistics concept and logistics operations of the Grid Technologies portfolio within the responsibility of the Order Management team.
  • Develop supplier relationships and engage suppliers on performance topics.
  • Survey the overall logistics market and keep GT US leadership aware of logistics market trends that may impact business performance. Supervise a team of logistics professionals
  • Build a positive relationship with Siemens Energy factories, Sales, Siemens Energy Grid Technology Service and cultivate effective partnership between leadership and staff. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including the client, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure safety and quality are prioritized throughout the business process. Build, review, revise logistics support business processes that meet each of the business areas needs
  • Provide and coordinate training for logistics team. Ability to travel as business requires.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain related fields
  • Experience of at least 7+ years in developing logistics plans for projects with international logistics operations. Proven experience in leading others.
  • Proven experience of engaging external customers and communicating organized plans
  • Leadership skills and the ability to set goals for people and support their accomplishment
  • Strong client relation skills, contract management, risk analysis and reporting skills.
