A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role you will be leading a team of engineers responsible for the successful design and execution of hydrogen electrolyzer projects in North and South America. This role involves overseeing all engineering activities from research & development to design maintenance and supplier technical qualification, to project sales and execution phases. You will act as the primary interface in Orlando for the electrolyzer systems “product owner” in Siemens Energy’s HQ in Germany and foster seamless collaboration and information exchange between the design teams in the EU and the USA. You will play a pivotal role in representing the company in all technical matters, fostering innovation, and leading your team to achieve exceptional results in project delivery.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Responsible for the coordination and prioritization of engineering activities across design, proposal and execution phases.
  • Direct, oversee and support the engineering team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement in project execution.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison with customers, authorities, engineering partners, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and resolution of technical, contractual, and interface issues.
  • Foster a unified team spirit within a culturally diverse team, promoting collaboration and professional growth.
  • Drive design and process innovation and champion cost-out to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and increase market share.
  • Support resource planning, recruitment, and development of future engineers to sustain long-term engineering department success and team motivation.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of leadership experience in management of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering disciplines, especially process engineering, and expertise in engineering workflows, project execution and scheduling, and product development.
  • Knowledge of Siemens Energy’s engineering workflows, project execution, and product development would be considered a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead and integrate intercultural teams, with a focus on strategic development and customer orientation. Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in international teams, with sensitivity to cultural differences. Fluency in English is required, along with a willingness to engage in international travel.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
