A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be the technical adviser of our Sales team in Asia Pacific supporting them to provide an optimal technical solution to the customer. You will analyze our customers specifications, you will prepare HBDs and also support in preparation of the technical Scope of Supply document and you will be the interface to our Proposal Hubs providing them the insights of the customer expectations and communicating the technical details back to the customer. In close cooperation with Sales, you will participate in negotiations being responsible for explaining and discussing our technical proposals and with your deep knowledge of the Siemens Energy turbine technology ensuring the technical part of the contract will be in line with our technology.
The focus countries in this role would be Thailand, Japan and Singapore with ad-hoc support for other countries in AP region.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You will develop bid HBDs and future turbine concepts from the very beginning in close cooperation with our Sales team.
• You will analyze and evaluate customer specifications for the design of the industrial Steam Turbine Generator sets.
• You will be required to support preparation of technical budget proposals as well as technical binding offers in coordination with the proposal teams in our factories in Europe (Germany and Czech Republic) and India (Vadodara).
• You will conduct presentations with customers and hand over successful projects to order processing.

What You Bring

•  A sound Degree in mechanical engineering, energy/process engineering, industrial engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years professional experience in the field of turbine/power plant/plant technology
• Expertise in Steam Turbine design and calculations for Industrial Scale Steam Turbines.
• Familiar with reading and understanding P&IDs or other process related drawings
• Experience in the functions of proposal management, technical sales, project execution or project management
• High level English skills are essential
• Basic commercial knowledge, Team and communication skills and good handling of MS Office applications
• Willingness for (inter-)national business trips
