A Snapshot of Your Day

As an IT/OT & Cyber Security Engineer for HVDC Systems, you will design and deliver HVDC control and protection solutions within a specialized team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager – HVDC C&P, you will provide engineering work packages aligned with project and business objectives. Additionally, you will collaborate on innovative solutions, contribute to continuous improvement, and support the delivery of complex engineering projects!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Strong understanding of IT security, network communication principles, and virtual environments.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT security concepts and network infrastructure for control systems.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical specifications, documents, and manuals.
  • Ability to conduct IT-security audits, threat-risk workshops, and penetration tests.
  • Experience in configuring and commissioning communication components and virtual environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface effectively with customers, projects, development, and specialist departments.

What You Bring

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, IT Networking/Communication Technology, Automation Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or related field, or equivalent training with extensive IT administration experience.
  • Several years of work experience in IT security for industrial networks, control systems, or IT administration, ideally in a project business environment.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, network separation, zone concepts, redundancy mechanisms, time synchronization, and remote telecommunication.
  • Experience in configuring switches, routers, and firewalls from manufacturers like CISCO, RuggedCom, and Checkpoint.
  • Proficiency in IT security standards and regulations (e.g., NERC-CIP, BDEW, IEC 62443, ISO27001, CIS) and conducting threat analysis and penetration testing.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills, high initiative, and willingness to travel for business.
