A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Data Scientist at Siemens Energy, you'll dive into large datasets to uncover insights that drive significant improvements in our manufacturing processes! You'll spend your day collaborating with multi-functional teams, developing predictive models, and applying advanced data science techniques to tackle real-world problems. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Data Analysis and Modeling: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights. Develop and implement predictive models and machine-learning algorithms to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Multi-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights. Communicate complex findings to non-technical partners.
- Process Optimization: See opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality using data-driven approaches. Implement advanced analytics solutions for supervising and improving manufacturing performance.
- Technology Integration: Stay updated with the latest developments in data science and machine learning. Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to improve our analytical capabilities.
- Data Quality Management: Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and security. Develop and maintain data management policies and procedures.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with a strong preference in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy industry environment.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling, including AWS Sagemaker.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and big-data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze sophisticated situations.
- Strong communication skills to explain sophisticated concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative team-player with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
