A Snapshot of Your Day

In this important and dynamic role, you will be responsible for driving the opportunity development and leading activities related to bidding and tendering of service project offerings including LTSAs (long term service agreements) for stationary battery energy storage projects.

You will be a critical member of a global multicultural team passionate about the development, go-to-market, tendering, and execution of service BESS products. While engaging with customers, you will present technical concepts, explain benefits, and build positive relationships. In collaboration with the customer, EPC team, regional service teams, your responsibilities include structuring the opportunities and developing the corresponding tenders to best meet the customer’s requirements.

 

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Work with Account Management teams to drive Siemens Energy Services for Storage to identify and structure global service opportunities from the initial lead phase to a structured bid
  • You will develop growth opportunities for the sales pipeline with new and existing customers in collaboration with our global partners to pro-actively drive our service business
  • “Win new opportunities” by leading, developing and optimizing service offerings including O&M, digitalization services, availability, performance guarantees, and augmentation based on customer requirements for battery storage projects
  • Plan, develop, and implement service tender preparation in alignment with EPC, regional entities, engineering, suppliers, commercial and legal experts
  • Run and/or support the tender approval process and raise, if necessary to appropriate levels to take on critical aspects depending upon tender, customer requirements, and concerns
  • Negotiate and lead contracts transforming the opportunity into a signed contract with a satisfied customer

 

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or M.Sc.
  • 5+ years direct experience in sales, bidding and tendering for utility-scale battery energy storage industry is required. Candidates with more experience may be considered for a high level.
  • Knowledge of stationary battery storage systems, technologies, and components including batteries, transformers, controls, or power conversion systems
  • Proven understanding of service offerings including LTSAs, performance & availability guarantees, RAMS, commercial, and legal requirements
  • Basic know-how about standards, regulations, grid codes, transmission & distribution, and market requirements
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills in English
  • Solution oriented and customer centric with a mindset to win
  • Motivated and ability to self-organize and prioritize complex tasks in an intercultural and global environment
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
